G. Adair's "A void", ironically a translation of a non-British book "La Disparation", may furnish you with a bit of inspiration.

It's gratuitously rancorous: "As a young Oulipian working within hard constraints I was naturally curious to study G. Adair's translation of La Disparition. I must say that I found it an amusing work in its own right but, as a translation, frankly disappointing..." Read the rest.
